Our Story

John Ruyle spent more than fifteen years in residential construction, working through carpentry, estimating and project management, before founding Moss Custom Homes in 2010.

He started the company on a conviction formed over those years: that every client deserves a builder as invested in the outcome as they are. That is why John is on site rather than behind a desk, and why the number of projects we take on each year stays small enough for him to give each one real attention.
